DEFENSE EQUIPMENT TOOLS EXHIBITION IN INDONESIAN NATIONAL ARMY MEETING 2010


Located in the Hall Gatot Subroto, Indonesian National Army headquarters, Cilangkap East Jakarta, Indonesian National Army meeting implemented from 25 to 26 January 2010.


With the theme "With the increasing capabilities of integrated tridimensional, the Indonesian National Army is ready to uphold the sovereignty of the State Homeland maintain territorial integrity and safety of the nation",

Indonesian National Army meeting opened by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, accompanied by five Ministers of United Indonesia Cabinet. The President gave his briefing in front of 152 participants, consisting Officers of Indonesian National Army of the three forces and officials from the ministries / government agencies non ministries related to military duties.

Along with this military meeting also held exhibitions of Defense Equipment Tools, located in the East parking area military headquarters that was attended by 10 producers/defense industry, among others Pindad which on occasion showed a variety of weapons that have been produced and new products.

New weapons on display include a model variant SS2 Bullpup weapons, G2 Elite Pistol cal. 9mm and G2 Combat cal. 9mm also a few new types of munitions including light ammunition cal. 12 GA breakcher door and heavy ammunition cal. 20mm. Beside weapons and ammunition, also exhibited 13 Panzers for the peacekeeping United Nations (UN) mission. After reviewing the 6x6 Pindad Panzer, President of the Republic of Indonesia was proud of the production of Panzer made by domestic defense industry of Pindad.

China's Anti-Stealth and countermeasures


China employs a range of “anti-stealth” and similar ‘asymmetrical’ air-defenses. These not only attempt to target stealth aircraft but also to shoot down or prevent cruise missile and precision guided weapons attack.


Foremost among these in my opinion are the anti-satellite program (“Space Denial”). These can disrupt/prevent GPS and spy satellites thus drastically improving the PLAs chances in any scenario with US. Also, because satellites are unmanned shooting them down is politically lightweight in times of limited warfare.

The main anti-satellite weapon of PLA is a ground based ASAT missile called KS-19 by western observers. The missile resembles a ballistic missile and is possibly based on the DF-21 or DF-25 missiles. The weapon was successfully tested in 2007 shooting down a satellite at over 500km altitude.

Beri kesempatan PT DI dan Bengkel TNI untuk me-reverse engineering F-16 dan F-5


Semakin eringnya Indonesia diembargo oleh pihak barat, membuat Indonesia menjadikan Rusia dan China sebagai pemarok persenjataan untuk pertahanan Indonesia. Banyak yang trauma dengan sikap menusuk dari belakang negara-negara barat ketika Indonesia dilanda konflik.


Produk F-16 dan F-5 menjadi sering menganggung karena kekurangan suku cadang dan terpaksa dilakukan kanibalisasi. F-5 Indonesia dikhabarkan banyak yang lapuk di gudang-gudang di AS karena tidak dikirim ke Indonesia paska perbaikan.



Dengan pengalaman ini saatnya Indonesia memberi kepercayaan bagi PT DI dan bengkel-begkel TNI di tanah air untuk me-reverse engineering produk-produk ini agar tidak terbuang begitu saja. Dengan merancang ulang dengan skala yang berbeda, dan riset pengembangan lebih lanjut, Indonesia bahkan bisa membuat pesawat sejenis dengan jumlah dan karakteristik yang telah disesuaikan dengan kontur lingkungan Indonesia.

Usaha membuat pesawat F-16 dan F-5 sendiri merupakan jawaban, karena kedua jenis pesawat ini tidak akan dibeli lagi karena sudah lapuk dan kadaluarsa, dengan makin keluarnya pesawat yang lebih canggih seperti F-35. reverse engineering adalah jawaban dari kedua permasalahn ini: embargo dan modernisasi

OV-10 digrounded saatnya reverse engineering


OV-10 akan digrounded dan diganti dengan super tucano dari Brazil. Saatnya Indonesia berpikir untuk mendesain sebuah pesawat pengganti OV-10 dengan memiliki karakterisitk pesawat tersebut dan dirancang ulang untuk kebutuhan RI.




Reverse engineering pesawat OV-10 dan Hawk Mk 53 akan membuat indonesia terbantu dalam pengadaan alutsisa yang cocok dengan kontur lingkungan di Indonesia. Dengan membuat riset dan pengembangan di sana-sisi, reverse engineering kedua pesawat tersebut tidak akan sama dengan menjiplak, dengan berbagai perubahan yang dilakukan namun dengan struktur yang sama.

PT GTSI siap merancang mesin untuk UAV, pemerintah siap mendukung?


Widyawardana mengakui, mesin masih didatangkan dari Amerika Serikat. Namun ke depan, katanya, PT GTSI sudah siap merancang mesin untuk UAV. Yang dikerjakan para teknisi di lantai dua ruko itu hanya rancang bangun dan pengembangan peranti lunak dan peranti keras yang akan ditanamkan di UAV.


”Yang kami kembangkan adalah logika. Dengan demikian, kalau bicara software bukan hanya untuk UAV saja. Umumnya bisa diterapkan pada benda bergerak lainnya, seperti kapal selam tanpa awak atau bahkan peluru kendali yang tidak bisa terjangkau pandangan mata,” katanya.

Indonesia's made armoured floating vehicle PAL-AFV


After successful modification of amphibious tanks BTR-50 (a BTR-50 PM) TNI-AL, this time in collaboration with PT.PINDAD, PT PAL build a newest amphibious tanks for troop transport with a Floating Armoured Vehicle (PAL-AFV).


Built with reference to the BTR-50PM, PAL-AFV has the form and technical specifications that are not much different. Significant differences only on the use of Diesel engines inline 8-cylinder is used, so that the energy produced can reach 300Hp.

Cruising ability increased from 400Km to 480Km. To speed increased from 60Km/jam street 50Km/jam be normal. But the weight of the vehicle also increased to nearly 15 tons.

For personnel haulage capacity is no different with BTR-50. Ie 3 tankers and 14 troops, with operational capabilities (endurance) for 8 hours.

Iranian made Type-72Z Safir-74 MBT


The T-72Z is a highly modernized version of the T-55, the upgrades have been done by the Defense Industries Organization of Iran. The name Safir-74 is used to refer to the Iranian T-54 tanks which have gone threw the same upgraedes, while Type T-72z is used to refer to Iran's Type 59 tanks which have gone threw this upgrade. This tank should not be confused with the Russian T-72.

New Light Tank Technology


The project is carried out OBRUM light tank based on multi-tasking platform battle. Polish tank is a main link in the construction of the entire system of direct support of armored vehicles and trucks to accompany. Changing the type of tank with light to medium would be mainly related to the change of the thickness of the basic armor.

-Exploration and development of impact resistant lightweight tank support structure and the loads from the shooting with his own gun, when you hit the bullet that causes no break,
-Designation and analysis of powertrain assemblies,
-Performance technology demonstrator,

Experimental studies and analysis of properties of traction and dynamic loads,
weapons tests within the capabilities of technology demonstrator.

The designers assume that the tank will be able to participate in stabilization and peacekeeping missions, but also in asymmetrical conflicts or pełnoskalowych. -Range of fire up to the upper chassis plate (podłożyskowej)
-Armored bulkhead from the machine,
-Dwupłaszczyznowo stabilized observation system for trainer to work in hunter-killer mode and autotrackingu,
-The possibility of rapid construction of additional weapons such as automatic grenade launcher, or remotely-controlled position WKM.


The current projections assume that the Polish defense industry will provide the following new tank assemblies, parts and materials: steel materials, including permanent armored hull of the chassis, the body of the tower, tracks, suspension components, elastomer bumpers, teams of electrical equipment, electronic equipment, vision systems (drivers, observation instruments), teams of automation and control, machine loading, seats, bearing podwieżowe, drives a cannon in the elevation and the horizon, ammunition nomenclature (caliber 120 mm, 12.7 mm, 7.62 mm), auxiliary weapons (anti - machine gun - a remote-controlled, coupled gun, smoke grenade launchers, 40 mm caliber grenade launcher), drive and stability system, fire control, communication, self-defense system (new solution), a system samoosłony (OBRA III +), ink absorption of electromagnetic waves, antyradiacyjne floor, equipped to fight in the city and the urbanized area, power generator and air conditioning, fuel, lubricants, rubber parts, textiles and plastic products.

RSS Formidable Singapura Ternyata Buatan Prancis Model La Fayette


The Republic of Singapore Navy's six Formidable class frigates are of comparable size to the La Fayette class but differs from that class and the Saudi Al Riyadh class in the armament carried.


In place of the Exocet is the Boeing Harpoon. The main gun is a stealth cupola equipped with an Oto Melara 76 mm gun replacing the 100 mm TR automatic gun. The Formidable class also uses the SYLVER launcher/Aster missile combination.

The first ship, RSS Formidable, was built by DCN, while the remaining ships were constructed by Singapore Technologies Marine.

Anti-Submarine capability includes S-70B helicopters.

India: Breakthrough in missile technology


In a major technological breakthrough that will drastically reduce the weight of missiles and enable them to reach longer ranges with heavier payloads, DRDO scientists have developed composite rocket motor casings.


Only the United States, Russia and a European consortium have achieved a similar feat. Faced with denial of advanced technology by the Missile Technology Control Regime, the scientists from DRDO’s Advanced Systems Laboratory, Hyderabad, developed it in four years.

ASL Director Avinash Chander told The Hindu here on Friday: “This is a major breakthrough, which provides us the key technology to go into longer missions with lighter weight.” The first large composite motor with carbon filament winding was realised after it was subjected to “full qualification and static tests.”

Metallic casings

Most of the missiles today had metallic rocket motor casings made of maraging steel or other varieties of steel. With weight being a critical factor, the trend world over was to move over to composite carbon filament wound motors. “Our aim is to have as low a weight as possible,” Mr. Chander said.

Pointing to the advantages of CRMC (composite rocket motor casing), he said they would reduce the weight of a rocket casing by 40 per cent, enabling the missile to take heavier payloads. The payload equivalent to the weight reduced could go up or the range of the missile could be increased. Or a combination of both could also be achieved.

Other major benefits include cost reduction by half compared to metallic casings, better performance and long storage due to non-corrosive nature of the material.

The flight trial of a missile with the CRMC would “happen shortly.” K. Jayaraman, Director (composites), ASL, said the development of the CRMC in four years by the ASL was much shorter compared to the development of similar technology elsewhere in the world.

Russia Troubled By Bulgaria Hosting Missiles


Russia will seek an explanation from Bulgaria about Sofia's plans to join a U.S. missile shield, Russia's foreign ministry said Feb. 18.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Titov met Bulgaria's ambassador to Moscow, Plamen Grozdanov, and told him Moscow would send Sofia an official query about the issue, the ministry said in a statement.

Pusat Kesenjataan Kavaleri Berbenah Diri


Korps Kavaleri yang tengah memperingati ulang tahun ke-60, yang upacaranya di lapangan pussenkav Bandung, Selasa, menyatakan sedang berbenah diri baik dari segi sumber daya manusia maupun pengadaan alat utama sistem persenjataan.

Menurut Komandan Pusat Kesenjataan Kavaleri Brigjen TNI Suharsono, hal penting yang akan dilaksanakan kesatuannya dalam waktu dekat adalah membenahi dan mengganti barang-barang yang sudah tua, seperti kendaraan tempur.

"Barang-barang yang sudah tua itu sudah saatnya kita ganti, namun kendala utama adalah masalah anggaran yang masih minim," ujarnya.

Suharsono mengatakan, yang menjadi prioritas utama untuk dibenahi adalah sumber daya manusia dan diiukuti oleh alat utama sistem persenjataan.

"Saya berharap pembenahan sumber daya manusia dan alutsista dapat berjalan beriringan," ujarnya.

Suharsono mengatakan, Pussenkav memiliki beberapa rancana pengembangan, seperti program pengadaan kendaraan tempur panser 6x6 APS-2 yang diproduksi PT Pindad.

"Panser APS-2 tersebut guna pemenuhan kendaraan tempur angkut personel satuan kavaleri TNI AD," ungkapnya.

Selain itu, tambah Suharsono, pussenkav akan mendatangkan 22 unit kendaraan tempur panser 6x6 kanon 90mm Tarantula dari Korea Selatan, dan akan dikirim akhir 2010.

"Untuk pemenuhan kebutuhan alutsista, satuan kavaleri akan dilengkapi tank jenis Main Battle untuk mengganti AMX-13 yang sudah tua," ujarnya.

Dikatakannya, di bidang pembinaan kesenjataan, pussenkav akan membentuk dua yonkav tank di Kabupaten Bulungan Kaltim dan Kabupaten Bengkayang Kalbar pada tahun 2011 dan 2012.

"Di bidang pendidikan, pembinaan pendidikan diarahkan dengan melanjutkan pembenahan 10 komponen pendidikan, penyempurnaan kurikulum, peningkatan kualitas tenaga pendidik, serta meningkatkan sarana dan prasarana pendidikan," ujarnya.

Selain itu, Pussenkav tengah melaksanakan program latihan berkuda guna mencetak bibit atlit berkuda yang andal.

"Insya Allah bila tidak ada perubahan, pada tahun ini satuan Denkavkud mendapat kehormatan digunakan sebagai ajang Porda Jabar dan Sea games 2011," ujarnya. Selengkapnya...
